I consider this to be non sensical use of your important money saving email notifications.
please see today's example from you in attached image:-
1st item Neutradol up 7p on Amazon to £3.48! why tell me this when I can get the same at a better price everywhere else ~ currently £1 @ Poundland!
2nd item Alpen Muesli Original down to £3.75 on Amazon from £12.99 already £3.75 in Asda & Tesco
3rd item 12 Brita water filters up to £47.55 on Amazon much cheaper on Ebay and Ocado!
this email was not only pointless but, coming from you, extremely misleading! we expect to be notified about the best price overall. anything other than this is pointless.
please can you rectify your algorithm, we all love your app but these misleading emails are counter productive.
kind regards
Gareth
I agree. I know this product is £3 something in Coop but I get a useless email saying the ridiculously high price at Amazon has gone down to a still ridiculously high price. The emails need some logic applied to them. I would rather only just receive price drops and only be shown where to get the lowest price, not that a particular retailer has dropped its price.
Neddyseagoon replies:
Whoops!
THINK you might have forgotten to say: 'having said that, could I please take this opportunity to say thank you for creating and launching Trolley.co.uk in the first instance...
Also, further thanks for all the hours, effort and dedication of your team, as am aware you are just four volunteers from England's second city, Birmingham'.
Or, at least 'thank you for your free money-saving app, Trolley.co.uk!'.
@user64145e8ec0648 @user6424769051bdf The level of entitlement in the comments here is sickening.
So the answer is:- go to preferences at the bottom of your email and turn off each type of notification. When you want to find the best price just search in the Trolley App🙂
@ ancelmorgan I disagree this is the answer. It says to notify you of any prices changes. I personally only want to know when the price has dropped, so I think they need to split out to the 2 options in the preferences.
Re above “whoops” comment
Nope didn’t forget?
Fewer emails, less work, You’re welcome!
